On August 22, the Armenian armed forces treacherously violated the ceasefire regime suddenly fired on the positions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces located Aghdam and Khojavand regions by using large-caliber guns and 60 and 82 mm mortars.
SIA was told by the Defense Ministry that after a careful assessment of the operational conditions along the front line, the Azerbaijani command staff reached the decision of firing with mortar launchers at and shelling certain squares of the front line of and deep in the enemy defense as well as outposts, trenches, supporting detachments, communication lines.
Despite Armenian side tries to hide its losses from the people of Armenia for the next time, 5 soldiers of Armenian armed forces were killed and 8 others were injured: "After the short but intensive gunfight, the command staff decided to temporarily cease the skirmish in order for the enemy side to carry pick the dead and aid the wounded. As a result of the firing from the Armenian side, 3 Azerbaijani soldiers got light shrapnel wounds. After receiving first aid, the wounded soldiers were taken to military hospitals. Doctors said the soldiers were in stable condition. They have already been returned to their unit," the ministry said.
As a result of work carried out by the personnel on morale rehabilitation, the military servicemen's fighting determination and victory spirit are at the highest level.
