"A group of Azerbaijani citizens has been evacuated from Yemen by plane provided by the Federation of Russia and we are grateful to the Russian Federation for it. " spokesperson of Foreign Ministry of Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev told SIA.
Hikmat Hajiyev highlighted the role of the employees of the Russia’s diplomatic mission in Yemen and the personnel of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia.
Foreign Ministry’s official also stressed that the Azerbaijani Embassy to Saudi Arabia continues the coordination with another group of Azerbaijani citizens inYemen.
Foreign Ministry of Republic of Azerbaijan also gratitudes Turkey for its readiness to provide assistance for evacuation of the Azerbaijani citizens.
