Azerbaijani Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov has met co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for Azerbaijan Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grech SIA reports.

The PACE co-rapporteurs also touched on the progressive reforms carried out in the judicial-legal system.
They also inquired about the activity of the Judicial-Legal Council and measures taken for increasing confidence in judicial system.
The Minister noted that the reforms had been carrying out successfully in judicial-legal system and informed the PACE co-rapporteurs about the improvement of the legislation in this sphere, expanding the competence of the Judicial-Legal Council, increasing the independence of judges and considerable boosting their salaries, successful activity of the administrative justice and other issues.
