On 20 December Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by chairman of the Council of Regional Representatives of Indonesia Irman Guzman.
According to the official website for the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, the President expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of friendly relations and cooperation between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Republic of Indonesia. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of mutual support between the two countries in all international organizations. The President expressed his gratitude to the Government of Indonesia for supporting the just position of our country in the discussions of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh in UN and the election of Azerbaijan to the UN Security Council.
President Ilham Aliyev described the visit of the chairman Council of Regional Representatives of Indonesia Irman Guzman to Azerbaijan with a large delegation as a good indicator of the friendly relations between the two countries. He expressed confidence that this visit will serve the further enhancement of bilateral ties.
Chairman of the Council of Regional Representatives of Indonesia Irman Guzman said his country attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan. He said that Indonesia supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Irman Guzman said that there are opportunities for further expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries in all areas, including political, economic, energy, investment, trade, cultural and other fields. The guest highlighted the implementation of joint projects between the companies of the two countries.
