In January-August 2012, the cargo transported via sea transport rose 3.9% to 8.5 mln tons.
State Statistical Committee says 60.9% of cargo was oil cargo, 39.1% - dry cargo. All transportations were carried out on foreign connections: "8.1 mln tons of shipping and unshipping works carried out via sea ports and 1%-growth was recorded. International transit cargos made 3 %".
