Azerbaijan Mugham Night has been held in London as part of the 2nd Buta Festival of Azerbaijani Arts, SIA reports citing AzerTac.
Organized by Buta Arts Center, the concert brought together representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora, local and foreign public figures.
Dean of Southwark Cathedral Andrew Nunn provided an insight into the history of the worldwide famous place.
Director General of Buta Arts Center Nasib Piriyev noted that Azerbaijani art has developed in all periods. He said Azerbaijan`s culture, art and music has special place in the world.
He said mugham was Azerbaijan`s national heritage and spoke of the progress achieved, projects carried out in the field of protection and improvement of the mugham.
Azerbaijani artists performed at the concert.
