Azerbaijan, Serbia discuss new areas of cooperation in ICT field
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) held a meeting with a delegation led by Rasim Ljajic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia as part of the IV meeting of Azerbaijan-Serbia intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov noted the special place of communication, information and communication technologies (ICT) in the development of Azerbaijani-Serbian relations based on the principles of mutual respect and confidence. Speaking on the progress and achievements in the relations, the Minister brought to the attention the importance of further development of relations in this area, stressed the importance of effective use of existing opportunities in the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation.
In turn, saying his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in all directions, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljajic noted the mutual interest of both sides for further deepening and development of relations in the field of ICT and high technologies, and expressed his confidence in further enhancement of bilateral relations. Recalling one of the main themes of the IV meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission was ICT, the Serbian Minister shared his views on further development of this sphere.
Then it was decided to establish a working group on cooperation in the field of ICT and high technologies, and hold first meeting of the working group in Belgrade, and second meeting in Baku as part of the 21st international exhibition and conference Bakutel-2015 to be held on December 2-5.
