French Olympian champion wins
French archers have picked up two team medals at the 2015 AAE Arizona Cup but struggled individually.

The 2008 Olympian and 2010 European champion Romain Girouille teamed with 2014 junior team world champion Lucas Daniel and Jean-Charles Valladont to win the men's team crown at the Arizona Cup. They beat Canadians Crispin Duenas, Jay Lyon and Hamilton Nguyen 5-3 in the final in Phoenix.

The French, the only Europeans in the Arizona Cup field, also claimed silver in the women's team competition. Solenne Thomas, Bérengère Schuh and Laura Ruggieri were beaten by the Mexican team of Mariana Avitia, Aida Roman and Gabriela Bayardo 5-3 in the final.

The French also reached the semi-finals in the mixed competition but Valladont and Thomas finished fourth after losing to the United States in the semis and to Canada in the bronze medal competition.

Despite all the success in the team competition, the French, who will have three male and three female archers at the Baku 2015 European Games and will be represented in all three team events, struggled individually in Arizona.

No French archer reached the quarter-finals as Daniel and Girouille both finished among the ninth-placed male archers. Thomas was the only French archer to reach the last 16 of the women's field.
