At least 124 members of the Kurdish ethnic group were executed in the Kurdistan Province of Iran in 2024, according to the Hana Human Rights Organization, SİA informs via Iran International.
This figure represents the highest number of executions in the region over the past decades.
The organization also revealed that during the Iranian year (starting on March 21), 41 smugglers living on the Iran-Iraq border were killed by the Iranian military, with 216 others injured.
Additionally, more than 10 Kurdish individuals were victims of landmines in border areas, resulting in five deaths and five injuries.
