As a result of the GÜRZ-46 anti-terror operation against the PKK terrorist organization, ongoing for five days in 51 provinces across Türkiye, 282 suspects have been detained, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya wrote on X, SİA informs.
The detained individuals are accused of financing the terrorist organization, aiding in the recruitment of members through joint activities, and disseminating banned publications that support the PKK.
The detainees are also suspected of participating in violent street incidents during illegal activities and conducting terrorist organization propaganda through social media accounts.
The minister stated that during the operations, authorities discovered two AK 47 automatic rifles, eight unlicensed hunting rifles, five unlicensed pistols, three empty pistols, and numerous digital materials from the residences of the suspects.
