Armenia used mercenaries during the Patriotic War, said Prosecutor Tarana Mammadova while announcing the indictment during the trial of persons of Armenian origin accused of committing war crimes, Report informs.
Mammadova stated that for the purpose of preparing for the aggressive war, Vladimir (Vova) Vartanov provided illegal military training with weapons and ammunition to members of the terrorist organization "VoMa" that he created, as well as ethnic Armenian citizens from France, Lebanon, Syrian Arab Republic, Russia and other countries, and members of various terrorist organizations in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
In addition, more than 2,000 foreign citizens, including members of the ASALA terrorist organization, PKK-PYD-YPG terrorist organizations, France's Zouaves Paris (ZVP) group, Dashnaktsutyun party, Black Panther military group and other organizations, were brought to Khankandi and Shusha cities of Azerbaijan, Kalbajar, Khojavand and other settlements through the Lachin corridor from the territory of Armenia, which was kept under occupation, to organize their participation as more experienced fighters in the aggressive war launched against Azerbaijan.
