The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) has extended the registration period of IMEI-codes of mobile phones from 30 days to 60 days, said First Deputy Minister Iltimas Mammadov. Adopting such a decision is aimed at providing users with seamless communication while using a mobile phone in connection with the first European Games.
It should be noted that e-service "registration of mobile devices" is one of actual services now available on e-government portal. Mobile devices bought by citizens from foreign countries can be easily registered through the service.
Over the past period of the year, e-service "Registration of mobile devices" available on the portal has been used 222,998 times.
It should be noted that the service "Checking of IMEI codes of mobile devices" offered citizens through e-government portal is of particular importance and is one of the most commonly used services by citizens. Through the service, it is possible to know whether the mobile device meets required standards and obtain information about its registration.
