"Azerbaijani Youth Day was founded by the Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev, in1997. Every year, February 2, is marked Azerbaijani Youth Day. " The executive director of Azerbaijan Youth Foundation Farhad Hajiyev told SIA.
According to Mr Hajiyev, state youth policy of Azerbaijan is a unique model for the world. In 1994, Ministry of Youth and Sport of Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The Ministry was the first governmental organization founded by Heydar Aliyev in his second period of authority as a head of state. As well, the National Leader always took care and paid attention to youth. It has been adopted more than 20 state programs on youth.
Highlighting the care for youth by the Azerbaijani state, Farhad Hajiyev added that it has been established all suitable condition and opportunities for every Azerbaijani young person.
