Joseph Debono Grech (Malta, SOC) and Pedro Agramunt (Spain, EPP/CD), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the honouring of obligations and commitments by Azerbaijan, will be making a fact-finding visit to that country on 1-3 February.
According to the website of the Council of Europe, in Baku, talks are scheduled with the President of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, the Ministers of Justice and National Security, the Prosecutor General and the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission. Co-rapporteurs are also due to meet representatives of the political parties, the President of the Supreme Court, the Ombudsman, the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, the diplomatic community and representatives of the media.
In Sumgait, they will meet representatives of the local authorities.
