The West’s negative reaction following the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan was quite expected, Senior Analyst of Russian Centre for Crisis Society Studies Sergey Balmasov made remarks.
According to Balmasov, currently Azerbaijan’s relations with EU and the US are quite tense.
It is very demonstrative that some European organizations have not sent their observers, he said.
Accordingly, such a reaction seems quite comical - they said, we did not see the elections were held "badly", but we still know this, Balmasov said.
At the same time, he said, the West didn’t notice the serious law violations at the elections in some countries, including Ukraine.
This once again proves that European structures are biased, Balmasov said.
