Official Baku protests on Canadian telecommunications company Impact Telecom (Startec) for excluding Nagorno-Karabakh region from the list of call delivery points, the Canadian company Impact Telecom, Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan stated, SIA informs.
According to spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev, Canadian telecommunications company Impact Telecom (Startec) has excluded Nagorno-Karabakh region from the list of call delivery points, the Canadian company Impact Telecom (Startec) said in response to the reaction of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Canada.
In response, Impact Telecom (Startec) Company has expressed regret for the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan being listed as a call delivery point, reported on the suspension of calls to this area. It is noted that the company has obtained the catalogue of accessible areas based on a common list and uploaded it to the system.
The company also stressed that it avoids taking a biased position against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan or its people and the Azerbaijani diaspora in Canada or anyone making a phone call to Azerbaijan.
