Political Scientist: Azerbaijani-Russian relations established by mutual trust and confidence
"It felt appearently Russian President Vladimir Putin’s positive approachment to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev." The Director of the Center of Political Innovations and Technologies, political scientist Mubariz Ahmedoglu told SIA commenting on the results of the Sochi meeting.
According to Mubariz Ahmedoglu, Russian President had quoted twice to President Ilham Aliyev. It's mentioned that there is high confidence between two countries at the meeting of Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents. Previously, there was lack of confidence between Azerbaijan and Russia because of Armenia. But now the relations between two countries are getting better. The Sochi meeting has demonstrated once more that Azerbaijani-Russian relations have established by mutual confidence and developed highly.
"But we cannot talk about close and mutual confidence relations between Armenia and Russia. Armenian President oblidged to reject Russia’s propose. Although Azerbaijan has accepted an important role of Russia in resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict but Armenia has not accepted this yet . Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan claimed that the resolution of conflict only possible with principles proposed by OSCE. But Sargsyan told a month ago that we havenot known what consisits in the documents of OSCE. Uninformed Serzh Sargsyan claims that Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be regulated by the documents of OSCE. In fact, Serzh Sargsyan has rejected Putin’s propose." told Mubariz Ahmedoglu.
Ahmedoglu also stressed that Lavrov’s statement "Armenia is joining the Customs Union as Armenia, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has nothing to do with it" was in purpose. It was clear told that there is not any connection between Armenia and Nagorno- Karbakh. Nagorno-Karabakh doesnot belong to Armenia.
