The Defense Ministry’s press service told SIA that on May 19, Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques Faure (France), newly-appointed French co-chair Pierre Andrieux, James Warlick (the USA) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
During the meeting the Co-chairs expressed their impressions about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the current state on the contact line.
Colonel General Zakir Hasanov expressed to the guests his thoughts about the situation in the region, the ongoing occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, current problems of refugees and internally displaced people and the steps taken by international organizations forward the resolution remaining ineffective.
At the end of the meeting the sides exchanged views on resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
