Ministry of Foreign Affairs told SIA that Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates on 20 February.
They noted with satisfaction the existing bilateral relations and discussed ways how to further develop economic ties through implementing joint investment projects.
The Ministers also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation within international organizations, such as the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Minister also informed his UAE counterpart about the state of peace talks aimed at resolving the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and Ministers exchanged opinions about regional affairs. Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also invited the Foreign Minister of the UAE to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan and the invitation was accepted.
