Under-Secretary General of UN Wu Hongbo thanked President Aliyev for high level of seventh Internet Governance Forum.
According to AzerTaj, the under-secretary has sent an official letter to the head of the Azerbaijani state.
The letter also expresses gratitude for the cordial reception of the participants of the event attended by over 1600 representatives of more than 128 countries.
The UN Under-Secretary especially noted the role of over 300 employees of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan and over 250 young volunteers in the successful arrangement of the forum.
"This was my first visit to Azerbaijan. The socioeconomic development of your country especially the sphere of information and communication technologies and internet left a deep impression on me", the letter says.
