The status-quo in Nagorno Karabakh conflict must not continue, said German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle at the press conference in Yerevan.
According to him, the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict will bring dividends to entire region, including Armenia. He emphasized the importance of finding a compromise solution within the OSCE Minsk Group: "I took advantage of my visit to Baku as an opportunity to discuss the Karabakh issue in detail. I would like once again emphasize that the German government supports finding a balance between the principles of territorial integrity and the right to self-determination".
The minister noted that Germany supported the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations: "It will meet the interests of both Armenia and Turkey".
