Azerbaijani embassy is expected to be opened in Iraq this year, Iraqi state minister for provincial affairs Torhan al-Mufti said.
He said Iraq is interested in political, cultural, economic and energy cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Asked about the direct flights between Iraq and Azerbaijan, especially Baku-Najaf flights, Torhan al-Mufti said this issue is being negotiated.
