Members of the
US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce held a meeting with the Minister for
Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kemaleddin Heydarov.
Heydarov spoke about the establishment, functions, structure of the ministry, the works conducted during emergency situations and any disaster.
"Our specialists are trained in foreign countries. As a result, experts of the Ministry can carry out rescue operations not only in Azerbaijan but also in neighboring countries in case of disaster or man-made disaster. In order to create a material-technical base of the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and hold trainings, the ministry is working closely with companies and organizations of the United States".
The meeting also included the presentations of "Kempenski-Badamdar" hotel and Norm cement plant.
Note that, US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce was established in 1996 and it has 240 members.
