We have now come to a situation when we need to make decisions- Russian FM

Work on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be continued in the near future.

The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference.

In Kazan the presidents announced they had coordinated important issues that will help achieve a final agreement on the settlement.

Russian Foreign Minister also said that Dmitriy Medvedev, as a mediator, who acts with the consent and support of the United States and France, analyzed the situation after a meeting in Kazan and will soon decide on further steps.

Two years ago Russia's president made an initiative to consult with the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to find specific arrangements for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

'We think that we have now come to a situation when we need to make decisions,' said the minister.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Azerbaijan on 8 July.

The visit will be a continuation of the Kazan meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, the diplomatic source said.
