The Collegiate Organ of CJSC Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) has summarized the results of 2011.
ADY chair Arif Asgarov claimed at its meeting that last year Company’s earnings totaled AZN 193 million and expenditures AZN 177 million.
"AZN 172 million of income was provided by cargo and AZN 21 million by passenger transportation," he said.
As a result, ADY profit for 2011 was equivalent to AZN 16 million or less than 10% of expenditures for the year.
The basis of expenditures in 2011 included wages of employees (AZN 62 million), payment for electricity, fuel and water (AZN 36 million), purchase of materials (AZN 36 million). Tax payments were equal to AZN 13 million as well as contributions to the State Social Protection Fund.
