Croatia will not participate at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest next year in Copenhagen, HRT- the Croatian national broadcaster announced on Thursday.
Following in the footsteps of many countries hit by the European financial crisis, HRT, the Croatian broadcaster has decided not to take part in the next Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Copenhagen in May 2014.
Croatia's poor results at the Eurovision Song Contest in recent have also influenced the broadcaster to take a year's break from the competition. Croatia has not qualified to the Eurovision final since 2009, hence staying out of the grand final in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Depending on the public interest, there might be a broadcast of the contest's final, the broadcaster said.
