On January 18th, the minor injured in the traffic accident which took place in Yalavaj village of Imishli district, died in the hospital, Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) said in response to SİA inquiry.
According to the information, the minor (female), hospitalized to the New Clinic, is recorded as dead on 22.01.2025 at 01:45 despite the doctors’ numerous efforts.
It was noted that the minor, born in 2015, had a fracture in the right humerus and right shaft, as well as a fracture in the right temporal bone and a unilateral pneumothorax was detected in her lung, and a chest balloon was placed. Due to unilateral fracture in the right temporal bone and serious cerebral edema in the brain, decompression craniotomy operation was done by the doctor-neurosurgeons and the patient was connected to the artifical respiration machine and she was receving high inotropic support at the Pediatric Resuscitation and Intensive Care department of the institution.
Note that fatal traffic accident has taken place in Azerbaijan's Imishly district on January 18. The State Traffic Police vehicle en route to duty hit children on the roadside after another vehicle obstructed its path. As a result of the accident, 4 children died.
