Exhibition on promoting historical and cultural heritage of Shusha city opens in Bulgaria

An exhibition of paintings and photographs entitled "Kharibulbul - a symbol of love and peace" and "Shusha - the pearl of the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan", aimed at promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Shusha, opened in the Bulgarian town of Sozopol as part of the Soleil International Francophonie Festival.

The exhibition, organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Bulgaria with the support of the Baku Media Center, features paintings and photographs depicting the mesmerizing nature, ancient history and rich culture of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.

Addressing the event, Huseyn Huseynov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, highlighted Shusha city’s immeasurable place in history and culture of Azerbaijan. The participants were provided with detailed information about the culture of Azerbaijan.

The opening of the exhibition followed by a musical and literary evening with Azerbaijan’s national and classical music pieces performed.

The function was attended by the mayor of Sozopol, heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Bulgaria, cultural and public figures, local residents and guests, as well as media representatives.

The exhibition of paintings and photographs promoting historical and cultural heritage of Shusha city were met with great interest and were widely covered by the local media.

The exhibition will run until June 8.
