In January-June of this year, 25.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan, SİA reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
6.6 billion cubic meters of gas fell to the share of the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" block, 13.8 billion cubic meters to the "Shah Deniz" field, 0.8 billion cubic meters to the "Absheron" field, and about 4 billion cubic meters to SOCAR.
According to the information, gas sales abroad during this period amounted to 12.1 billion cubic meters. Of this, 6.1 billion cubic meters were sold to Europe, 4.9 billion cubic meters to Türkiye (including 2.9 billion cubic meters via the TANAP gas pipeline), and 1.1 billion cubic meters to Georgia.
It should be noted that the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) began on December 31, 2020.
