Several social organizations have held a protest outside the Iranian Embassy of Azerbaijan.

The action was supported by the Youth Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ireli, AGAT and other youth organizations.

Packed up mainly with students, the action involved around 600-800 people. The youths gathering in front of the embassy have demanded the Iranian government to stop supporting Armenia against Azerbaijan.

Slogans such as "Iran, Neighbor or source of threat", "Drop Armenia from your chest", "Without Iran, Armenia's last breath would exhaust", "Shame on the Iranian government" and "Homosexual Iranian mullahs have no place in Azerbaijan" were voiced at the protest.

They also voiced protest against the remarks of the Iranian government regarding Eurovision Song Contest coming up in Baku.

"Iran condemns holding Eurovision contest in Baku and accuses us. Their objections have no basis. We are tolerant, secular and kind to nations. We don’t close our doors to other countries like does Iran. Music is unity and equality. And we demonstrate our unity and equality to all nation at Eurovision," the youths addressed the Iranian government.

During the action, representative of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Haji Tahir, addressed the Iranian government and demanded to stop threatening slogans against Azerbaijan.

"Iran speaks of democracy, peace, kindness and brotherhood, and then supports Armenia which has shown atrocity against the Azerbaijani people, killed them, showed violence against our women and daughters? Where is their humanism?" Haji Tahir said.

At the end of the protest, the youths sang the Azerbaijani national anthem and left the embassy.
