has not yet received any OSCE proposals on dialogue with the opposition, Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov has said.
Ahmadov said that the parties were able to hold dialogue themselves.
"We don’t need an initiative from anyone to gather and have an exchange of views. If needed, the parties themselves can gather together and hold discussions. On 10 April, the legal policy and state building committee had a fine discussion," Ahmadov said, referring to committee discussions on amendments to the law on political parties.
"The New Azerbaijan Party has held a very rational discussion with the opposition parties represented in parliament on the amendments to the law 'On political parties'. The political parties are ready to discuss any issue of interest. We are less in need of support or assistance from anyone," Ahmadov continued.
He said that since the draft law on political parties had been submitted to parliament, the issue was now resolved.
