According to AFFA’s website, the head of our Association told FIFA
President of comprehensive activities undertaken for the development of

state over the past years.

Rovnag Abdullayev also said that the permanent work is underway to
conduct high-level World Cup for girls, which was first held in
Azerbaijan in September - October this year. It was noted that President

World Cup 2012, makes recommendations and is informed of all
developments related to the World Cup.
"Under the presidential decree, 2012 in our country is announced the
Year of Sport, which also shows the tremendous support given to sport in

the time remaining before the World Cup in 2012 was launched by the
First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

on a high level ", said the president of AFFA.

In turn, Rovnag Abdullaev invited to the president of FIFA to attend
the World Cup opening ceremony. Blatter gladly accepted the invitation,
noting that he plans to arrive in Azerbaijan on 22 September.
The meeting was attended by vice-president of AFFA Elshad Nasirov and secretary general Elkhan Mammadov.
