The cocoon production weighing 236 kg for 2015 in Azerbaijan reached 71 ton last year. SİA reports quoting Report.az that, it was informed by the assistant of the Minister of Agriculture Ilham Guliyev. "We`re expecting the capacity of production to be more than last year`s. In reference to the words of the assistant of the minister cocoon will bring 2700 AZN monthly revenue to the families. We`ve distributed the cocoon product to the 3013 florists in the 31 regions of the Republic consisting of 739 villages. On average, one family`s delivery of 200-300 kg cocoon means 800- 2700 AZN profit. Rainy weather and hail in some districts hasn`t harmed the agricultural field. On the contrary, it enables the productivity of cotton and grain-growing"noted Guliyev. Facilities against the harm of hail exist, but there`re difficulties in setting these equipments in the area because of war condition.
