"Azerbaijan is suffering from brutal violation of international law, our historical lands of Azerbaijan have been occupied. For many years more than 1 million Azerbaijanis have been living as refugees and IDPs." President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated during his speech at the forum co-organized by the Azerbaijan State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Nizami Ganjavi International Center titled "Building Trust in the Emerging World Order".
According to President of Azerbaijan, in documents of the UN and Helsinki Final Act are based on the principle of territorial integrity. But aggressive separatism is being continued.
"According to the documents, right of peoples to self-determination should not result in the violation of territorial integrity. Aggressive separatism is being continued. If Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was solved, we wouldn’t have today seen new conflicts. On the base of the resolutions of the UN, as well decisions of the Council of Europe, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Non-Aligned Movement,resolutions Azerbaijan strongly supports the resolution of the conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
