The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has thanked Azerbaijan for a support in the discussions held in the UN General Assembly.
The Foreign Ministry has posted a gratitude note in Azerbaijani language on its Twitter page, SİA reported.
"Azərbaycanlı dostlarımız, dəstəyinizə görə sizə təşəkkür edirik" (Azerbaijani friends, thank you for your support), the tweet says.
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution supporting territorial integrity of Ukraine on March 27.
The resolution calls on world community not to recognize the annexation of the Crimea to Russia.
Azerbaijan voted against the resolution.
The countries that voted against the resolution were Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, North Korea, Nicaragua, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe.
Resolution doesn't recognize the referendum held in Crimea.
