All clauses set in President Ilham Aliyev`s 2003 and 2008 election programs have been fulfilled, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov has told journalists.
"For example, a task to open 600,000 jobs in five years, which was set in 2003, was completely fulfilled – 1.2 million new jobs have been created in the last ten years."
"The President`s program to remove refugee camps has also been successfully executed. Another successfully fulfilled program is one related to poverty reduction. The poverty level has been reduced from 50% to 6%."
Mr Ahmadov also highlighted the President`s program for further five years: "Developing the non-oil sector and bringing it to the forefront of national economy is one of the key priorities of the President`s next program."
"President Ilham Aliyev`s program for the next five years is aimed at ensuring Azerbaijan`s further development and bettering people`s living standard. And every citizen knows that the President`s election program is not just a set of promises. It`s a concrete, well-considered program based on serious political will and experience," YAP`s Deputy Chairman added.
