Azerbaijani voters believe in Ilham Aliyev and do not see an alternative to him as a head of state.
The statement came from deputy chairman, executive secretary of the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan, Milli Majlis deputy Ali Ahmadov, opening the conference 'Azerbaijan 2013: new goals, new achievements'.
"Azerbaijani people believe in Ilham Aliyev. They see no other candidate for the president of Azerbaijan", he said.
He said 2013 is special in the history of the country, since next year Azerbaijan will have the next presidential elections.
"2012 was very successful for Azerbaijan by all parameters. Great achievements this year were made in economy, social sphere, the positions of our country in the world were strengthening. And we are sure that 2013 for Azerbaijan will be as successful as the current one. We are sure that Ilham Aliyev's victory will be the main success in 2013", Ahmadov said.
The deputy chairman of the party congratulated the head of state on birthday and wished him every success.
