The Azerbaijani embassy in Syria keeps permanent touch with our citizens living in that country, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev told.
He said that the embassy worked in normal conditions: "There is no instruction on evacuation of embassy and its staff. 60 Azerbaijani citizens have been registered in our embassy till June 10, 26 of them are students, 34 – their family members. Members of our embassy keep in touch with them every Friday and Saturday".
About 40 Azerbaijani citizens left Syria and returned home due to riots in this country.
