The international community should abandon the policy of double standards in relation to Azerbaijan- Ali Ahmadov
The statement came from deputy chairman and executive secretary of the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan, MP Ali Ahmadov at the round table dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide.
According to him, the Khojaly genocide is one of the bloodiest pages in world history and a regular chain of massacres commited against the Azerbaijani people by Armenians.
He noted the need to strengthen nation-wide effort to bring to the attention of the world community the truth about the Khojaly genocide, so that the international community has issued a political and legal assessment of this crime against humanity.
"I must admit that decisive steps have been taken in this direction over the past 20 years. Milli Majlis adopted a decision on the Khojaly genocide and due appeals were sent to the parliaments of different countries", Ahmadov said.
