Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israil in both provision of security and other spheres is developing successfully-ambassador
He noted that President of Israel Shimon Peres has expressed his
gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for provision of the
due security of Israeli citizens.
"Our cooperation in both provision of security and other spheres is developing successfully", the diplomat said.
The ambassador said a number of bilateral visits are expected soon. "An
enterprise with an Israeli capital is expected in Baku this year",
Lotem said.
Azerbaijan can assist in Palestinian-Israeli relations, Mikhael Lavon
Lotem told reporters. He noted that the Azerbaijani representative in
the UN Security Council takes efforts in this direction.
However, the diplomat also said that such conflict issues must be settled directly between the sides on the spots.
A number of agreements are expected to be signed between Israel and Azerbaijan in 2012.
The statement came from the Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhael Lotem.
He said Israel is planning to open an industrial plant in Azerbaijan.
"The plant is to open in half a year and this process has already been
launched".
