Speaker of Korean Parliament Park Hee-tae is to pay
the first official visit to Azerbaijan on 12-14 January, according to
sources in the Korean embassy in Baku.
The aim of the visit is to establish interparliamentary ties between
Korea and Azerbaijan, as well as entering a new level of relations
between the countries.
Park Hee-tae will hold meetings in Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, and meet
with speaker Oqtay Asadov. The meeting with President of the country
Ilham Aliyev is also planned.
The Korean delegation will visit the Alley of Honor, and meet with the Korean diaspora living in Azerbaijan on 13 January.
The representatives of the Korean parliament visited Azerbaijan even
earlier. According to sources in the embassy, head of the Korean
parliament committee on construction and transport was visiting Baku in
March of the last year.
