According to the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs, speaking at the
session, honored chairman of the congress Sahil Gasimov informed that
the Congress of Benilux Azerbaijanis covering Netherlands, Belgium and
Luxembourg has been functioning since 2006 and has huge contribution in
structuring of the Azerbaijani diaspora in these countries.
Congress chairman Elsever Mammadov made a report about the Benilux Azerbaijanis and the events held.
Speaking in the event, Azerbaijani ambassador in Netherlands Fuad
Isgandarov appreciated involvement of representatives of fraternal
Turkish organizations and diaspora communities of other countries,
including Holland to the events of the congress.
Deputy chief of the Department of Western Europe of the State Committee
for Diaspora Affairs Elnur Aliyev read out a congratulation letter of
the chairman of this structure Nazim Ibrahimov.
20 members of the new Board of the congress have been elected at the
session and Sahil Gasimov became the new chairman of the Congress.
