Samad Seyidov, chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament's committee for international relations and inter-parliamentary ties, made the comments in a meeting with members of the Turkish parliament's foreign relations committee.
Seyidov described Azerbaijan-Turkey relations as "a symbol of stability, development and friendship" and said that they "have an impact on all Turkic countries".
The MP said that the parliaments of the two countries contribute to the development of bilateral ties.
The head of the Turkish parliament's foreign relations committee, Volkan Bozkir, underlined that Azerbaijan and Turkey share common history, cultural and moral values and are "strategic partners". Bozkir said they considered Azerbaijan's election to the UN Security Council as a victory for Turkey too.
