Natural gas production of Azerbaijan declined in November by 5% compared to October of the year.
The State Statistics Committee (SSC) informs that as of 1 December 2011 the country was produced 23.769 bn cu m of gas that is by 2.6% less against production for Jan-November 2010.
This November production reached 2.144 bn cu m against 2.257 bn in October, 2.04 bn cu m in September, 2.181 bn cu m in August, 2.234 bn cu m in July, 2.185 bn cu m in June, 2.293 bn cu m in May, 2.130 bn cu m in April, 2.2 bn cu m in March, 2.057 bn in February and 2.04 bn in January 2011.
Last year the country produced 26.2 bn cu m, including 2.286 bn in July (the best figure in 2010).
In 2009, gas production reached 23.58 billion cu m (+0.8%) and delivery 16.3 bn cu m (-0.1%). Private producers extracted 10.1 bn cu m of gas (+9%).
In 2008, Azerbaijan produced 22.847 bn cu m of natural gas (+35.6% against the 2007 index), including 9.146 bn cu m (+66.1%) by private producers.
