More than 30 dead after heavy rains in Northern India

At least 36 people died during the last day due to heavy rain and lightning in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Acround 24 people died as a result of the collapse of houses during the downpour. The remaining 12 people died as a result of being struck by lightning, SIA refers to foreign media.

In addition, several people have also been injured and hospitalized. In the last five days alone, 39 people have died due to lightning strikes in the state.
