Today, the Baku Military Court heard testimonies from victims of the Armenian armed forces’ occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
According to SİA, victim Idris Mammadov testified that he was taken captive during combat operations in February 1993 and held in areas of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenian armed forces, including in the basement of a house in Khankandi and in the Shusha prison.
He added that while in captivity, he was tortured and beaten with batons, fists, and feet. During the three months of his captivity, he was given only small amounts of bread and water.
Another victim, Maarif Rustamov, stated in his testimony that he was severely wounded during the 44-day war — on September 27, 2020, in Murovdagh, in the direction of the Kalbajar district. Two others were wounded alongside him, and four were killed.
