US Ambassador candidate to the UN Mike Waltz spoke about the possibility of Azerbaijan joining the Abraham Accords, SİA informs.
Azerbaijan is seeking not only to get closer to the US, but also to possibly conclude agreements with Armenia and Israel (joining the Abraham Accords), he said at a hearing in the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
This will not only open up broad commercial opportunities for American business, but will also change the geopolitical landscape, he noted.
Waltz's candidacy for US Ambassador to the UN was considered at the hearings. Previously, he was an adviser to the head of the White House Donald Trump on national security, but was removed from office after a scandal with the discussion of secret plans for American strikes on the Houthis on the Signal messenger.
