A meeting was held with the winners of the “Zaka” career advancement competition for customs employees at the Central Customs Hospital

On July 17 a meeting was held at the Central Customs Hospital with the winners of the “Zəka” career advancement competition for customs employees. The Head of the Medical Services Department of the State Customs Committee Jeyhun Mammadov welcoming the participants emphasized the importance of the competition in terms of ensuring the career growth of employees with modern knowledge and skills, as well as forming a pool of qualified personnel within the customs system. He also highlighted the importance of continuous self-improvement, deepening professional knowledge, and upholding the principles of loyalty and service to the nation and the people while fulfilling official duties.
Following the meeting, a training session was held for the winners of the “Zaka” competition. During the training, Deputy Chief of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ismayil Afandiyev delivered a presentation on “Diagnosis and first aid in cases of snake and other poisonous animal bites,” and Dr. Javad Jabarov, an emergency physician at the the emergency medical care department of the Central Customs Hospital, presented on the topic of “First Aid Course.”
Customs officers were provided with detailed information on recognizing clinical signs of bites by poisonous animals, early detection of poisoning, delivering first aid on the spot, and actions to be taken until medical help arrives. Additionally, the principles of providing first medical aid in cases of seizures and respiratory arrest were discussed, key techniques were demonstrated, and practical exercises were conducted.
