More than 400 immigrants cross the Moroccan border

More than 400 immigrants tried to cross the Moroccan border into the Spanish city of Melilla in North Africa. At 08:40 local time, a group of immigrants flowed to the border fence and at least 130 immigrants crossed the border, SIA reports quoting foreign media.

African immigrants seeking to enter Europe illegally often use Melilla and Ceuta. On the other hand, on the night of May 17 last year, about 5,000 Moroccan migrants entered the Spanish city of Ceuta, another part of North Africa, illegally. Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska said more than 6,500 people had been deported. Although the Spanish government has blamed Moroccan security forces, the situation has caused tensions between the two countries.
