“At least 70 AZERTAC employees will cover the events held as part of COP29,” announced Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, during the 32nd meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS State News Agencies. The meeting was organized in Moscow as part of celebrations marking the 120th anniversary of TASS.

Vugar Aliyev congratulated the executive team and staff of TASS on the anniversary, noting that the agency, a global brand in the information sphere, has earned its prestige through a commitment to journalistic values and openness to innovation.

In reference to the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Vugar Aliyev stated: "As you know, this major event on environmental protection and climate change serves as a global platform where decisions are made to reduce pollution and mitigate environmental impact. About 80,000 guests from numerous countries are expected to attend COP29.”

Vugar Aliyev also emphasized that special conditions will be created for media outlets at the event, with a media center, conference halls, and interview rooms set up for journalists. "AZERTAC will cover the event and share materials with our partners. Approximately 70 of our employees will work on the sidelines of COP29. As you know, many conferences, workshops, and presentations will be organized, and we aim to cover these events extensively with text, photo, and video content," he added.

The Chairman of the Board also highlighted the importance of cooperation with friendly agencies, both within the Information Council and bilaterally. He mentioned significant upcoming events in Azerbaijan, including the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism, the CIS Games in Ganja, and other key events. “As always, we are ready to support our partners,” Vugar Aliyev underlined.
